Running: Getting out of a rut!

Let’s be honest for a moment.  If you are connected with me on any form of social media you will know that I have not been running and training like I need to be…  So here’s my pep talk to myself, feel free to listen in!

Here’s my three things to do to get me out of this rut:

  1. Plan some races!  After writing my fall/winter race calendar, it has given me the motivation to get out there and run.
  2. Just run something – even a mile!  A run can change your whole mood – so get off of your butt and go run a mile!
  3. Involve your friends – running with friends always makes the miles go by faster and gives me some much needed girl time!
  4. Remember your why! I run for Lauren, I run to be a healthy mom for your girls, whatever your reason is – take a few minutes and be your own cheerleader!
