I love this story because it truly tells the story of the last 5-6 years. I may have shared it before, but I thought I would share it again! So here it is – Why I Started Blogging!
Back in January 2010, David and I found out we were pregnant. We were so excited and I knew that, with most of our family being out of state, I was going to have to find a way to keep everyone updated. The original blog was born… A simple Spivey Family Blog was born! I did a post or two about the new baby…
Within a month, we learned what heartache was – we had a miscarriage. Days after we found out, I wrote this post: He’s Always Been Faithful. I made a small hobby out of writing silly posts (more of an outlet than anything serious… I didn’t care if anyone read it) before I made a career change to become a teacher.
Then it happened… We were really going to have a baby… and a teenager! So I began blogging about the pregnancy and kept track of my physical changes so family could see. Check our my last update before the little one was born.
During 2012 I blogged about how the girls had grown. By the end of the year, we had a year old baby and a teenager that would be a high schooler soon.
Then December 2012… I had a sweet student take photos of Parker’s first birthday. They were beautiful pictures, but I saw that I had let my weight get out of control. I started running and the blog transformed into Teacher on the Run during 2013!
That was a short lived venture as we made a family decision for me to work for my husband – a recently promoted Regional Vice President for Capital Insurance Agency. The blog got one last rebrand to Tampa Mom Runs, the brand you see today.
Wow – I knew that I had made this journey, but I will say it was a lot of fun to go back and re-read the posts and put the whole timeline together! Thanks for going on a trip down memory lane with me! Check back on Wednesday – I’m going to ask you what you want to see in the future!
