I have been an Ariel fan since I can remember! So when I saw The Little Mermaid was going to the Straz Center in Tampa, the 5-year-old in me was super excited!
The Little Mermaid has always been a favorite story of mine and I have shared this love with my 5-year-old.
There are two major life lessons that I took from this classic tale:
Dream Big. Ariel was a mermaid. She was told all of her life to stay away from the shore. She was told that it was dangerous. She was told that bad things could happen if she goes to the surface. She knew there was something greater and bigger for her life than just the status quo as a mermaid. She went for it! What dreams have you been told are too dangerous or scary? Go after them!
The Wednesday, July 12th performance will be KIDS’ NIGHT ON BROADWAY – Come early to the Wednesday performance to enjoy free activities and entertainment before the show, and stay late for a talk-back with the company members. Plus, kids 12 and under save up to 50% on their ticket when purchased with a full-priced ticket. Sponsored by Chick-fil-A. Please call the Ticket Sales Office at (813) 229-7827.
There a few plots twists that the musical adds! Hint: it adds a relational component between two important characters! Go see it to find out!
I’m so jealous! I need to see this live on Broadway!
It was awesome!!
