Another brief interruption in the Disneyland adventure for a cause that is near to my heart and a Tampa Bay Area staple in the race community!
The Susan G Komen event is changing this year:
1. It is returning to downtown St Pete at Albert Whitted Park
2. They are going dark… I mean, this year is a night time run with glow sticks to complete the fun!
The Florida Suncoast arm of the Susan G Komen foundation provides funding for vital mammograms and other cancer screenings for those in the Tampa Bay Area. Your race registration and any fundraising stays in the Tampa Bay Area!
My aunt will reach her 5 year mark this year and I am running in honor of her. She is a rock and with early detection, she was able to kick cancer in the butt!
