So you think you can cook? Cooking with Cabot!

I have never touted myself as being a cook, much less a good cook.  So when I was invite to a food and cooking event with Cabot Creamery, I’ll be honest and say that I was flattered but certainly anxious.

During the course of the day with Cabot I learned several easy ways to be a cook without being super skilled in the kitchen.  So I’m going to share them with you… but don’t be surprised when see once of these tricks at my house.

  • A Breakfast Bar can be an easy way to entertain! When we arrived at the Epicurean Hotel, we were greeted by a beautiful spread of Cabot Yogurt, dried fruit, granola, nuts, preserves, fresh fruit and chocolate.  (Yes, chocolate for dessert!) Is this something I could do at home or at the office for an early morning meeting?  YES!

Here was my creation!

  • Homemade Mac and Cheese isn’t that hard!  After seeing the chef make Legacy Tomato Basil Mac and Cheese, I tried to make it at home myself and found it surprisingly easy!

Here’s my version at home.  I used a different pasta and I utilized smaller cherry tomatoes!

  • A Cheese Platter is an easy way to make hors d’oeruvres for entertaining! We participated in a group contest to produce a cheese platter that was judged for a winning team.  We were given everyday household pantry items and created something special.

Now the yogurt and cheese platter… might not be ‘cooking’ to most, but to me it is!  And with a product as pure and good as Cabot’s yogurt, butter and cheese – you don’t need to do a lot to make these products spectacular!  Cabot Creamery is a Coop of about 1,700 individual farms that work together to produce an amazing product!

Thanks to a relationship with Sunday Supper, I was able to participate in this event with Cabot Cheese in exchange for my social media love. All opinions are my own.
