Thank you to Painting with a Twist in Carrollwood for hosting my Rett Syndrome fundraiser at the end of February! So you’ve never been – you have to go! You can log on to their site and choose which night and painting you want to do. You are generally in a room of 20 people. When you arrive there is a space with your name all prepped for you – paints, brushes, towels, water and the most important a blank canvas. A artist will lead the group through painting the selection for the evening – they take breaks, walk around and help, give you tips along the way, but also allow you a little creative license if you want to go “rouge”.
There was much fun had by all and our teacher was patience and awesome – thank you Ana!
During the event we took a break to do a little dancing!
Several guests got to spin the prize wheel!
I would highly recommend hosting a fundraiser at a Painting with a Twist location – they call it Painting with a Purpose. Most locations only do one fundraiser a month, so if you are thinking this is a possibility I would recommend contacting them soon. Owners Michelle and Sharon at the Carrollwood location were great to work with!
