We are almost to the year mark that we have had our Disney annual passes and I can count on three little fingers the times that I have been to Disney without kids. If you have children and Disney annual passes – take an adult day!
Three Reasons to Take an Adult Disney Day
- You can drink! Yes, you can have a drink when the kids are with you but you still have to be moderately responsible. And if you aren’t one to have a beverage – you can at least sit still and enjoy a cup of coffee without being pulled to head to the next ride. On my most recent Disney trip, Caitlyn showed me Trader Sam’s inside of the Polynesian Resort. Highly recommend it – the room interacts with your drink selections. It sounded strange, but you just need to go see what I’m talking about!
- You can ride whatever you want! Maybe you have kids that are thrill seekers and you can ride lots of things, but at this stage in the game my four year old doesn’t have any interest in riding Test Track. So on my adult days I have ventured out and ridden rides like Soarin (which is amazing – I kept saying WOW after we got off!), Rockin Roller Coaster and Star Tours.
- You see things you’ve never seen before! You will notice plants and art fixtures… Hidden mickeys and details that you never stopped to see before because you were keeping track of little people. The ability to take Disney in without focusing on counting the kids or making sure everyone has had their bathroom break is amazing.
So when is my next Disney adult day? I have one planned for the second to last weekend in September!
** Disclaimer: I LOVE going to Disney with my four year old. I love seeing things through her eyes. I love sharing that experience with her. But it is ok to be selfish and take an adult day to enjoy! YOU PAY FOR THE TICKETS – you deserve to go enjoy!
